Airvest Promoters SentencedSan Bernardino, CA- from ConsumerAffairs.com- John Duhamell and Toni Duhamell were sentenced in San Bernardino County Court for "30 felony counts of securities fraud and grand theft, as well as five counts of tax evasion".
Mr. Duhamell represented himself to potential investors as a son of very rich guy Kirk Kerkorian, and claimed that the company enjoyed the financial backing of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Neither of these claims was true.
Over 200 investors gave the Duhamells at least $5.6M which was spent supporting a luxurious lifestyle. Most of the investors were from San Bernardino County.
