Anti Helmet Rant from South Florida
The American battle over helmet use will continue until the insurance companies decide to flex a muscle and mandate it. Until it becomes a market decision, however, it will be a point of strong moral conviction, with statistics being cited and abused on both sides of the argument.We will attempt to present viewpoints representing substantive arguments. Note that there are plenty of websites out there dedicated to anti-helmet law legislation and lobbying. What tends to make it more often to the motorcycle or general press are articles citing research on motorcycle safety or discussing the status of proposed legislation related to helmet use.
