Cool Bluetooth Helmet Headset

From CNET- The Cardo Scala Bluetooth Helmet Kit

Ever have an important conference call keep you from getting out for a ride on a gorgeous day? Kiss those days goodbye! Cardo Scala has the answer- a Bluetooth headset for your helmet! The kit does not include the helmet, and you have to do the installation.

The kit features the Motorola V551 Bluetooth headset, and comes with a wind-resistant microphone that allows you to be heard over wind noise. Volume adjustment in the helmet is, however, not automatic, which can be a pain to manage since you'll want to raise the volume when you are riding to compensate for engine noise.

From what I can tell from the reviews, the volume controls can be a serious control issue with the operation of the bike, especially in stop and go riding which would require almost constant adjustment in conditions where you can't really afford to take your hands off the handlebars. An improved design would all for positioning of volume controls on the fairing or grips. Another improvement would be to make the volume self-adjusting, like the BMW and Gold Wing sound systems.
